Today marks one year from the date that I started this blog. A lot has happened in the year of having Tea N’ Sea, and I couldn’t be more excited about what is to come, both in life and for the future of my blog!
Exciting news first: With all of the things that I have yet to write about, I planned on re-vamping the blog quite a bit! I have paired with a really good friend of mine and have created a more personal look for the blog, and will be releasing the new theme soon! Along with the new theme and feel of Tea N’ Sea, I will be creating my own custom domain name, and will be posting more often, with some shorter/more informal posts, and posts with recipes, outfit ideas, and more! I can’t wait for this new chapter in my blog, so definitely keep an eye out for the changes! Below is a teeny sneak peek of the new changes to come!
Looking back on everything that has happened in only a year really forces me to believe that anything can be achieved with hard work and dedication. If you had asked me one year ago where I thought I would be at this date, I wouldn’t be able to give you anything close to an accurate answer. I feel so blessed to have been given the opportunities that have been presented to me, and to live the life that I have. Despite hearing the good things all of the time, life isn’t always perfect, and I feel that any and all bumps in the road are a lesson to be learned. I take each day as a blessing and a way to grow and learn more about myself and who I want to be. I strive towards all of my goals, aiming to better myself and help the world around me.
I could sit and write an entire post about how my year has gone, but frankly, I think it is more exciting to look forward. Of course, memories are precious and should always be cherished, but while things are moving along at such an exciting pace, it is hard to look back as much as look forward. The world has so much to offer, and I hope to indulge in every aspect that I possibly can. Walking into my senior year, things are not only getting more exciting, but also getting more real. I start applying to vet schools within a few months, football season is right around the corner, classes start extremely soon, and I have to be ready to take life head on. I cannot wait to see how I will grow as a person, how Tea N’ Sea will grow, what opportunities are thrown my way, and see all that God has in store for me.
Some of my goals within the next year include:
- Posting at least 2x a month on the blog
- Go to church more often
- Get into vet school
- Take a spontaneous trip
- Learn a new skill
- Spend more time volunteering
- Find more free time to relax
- Grow closer to friends and family
- Consistently make early payments on my student loans
Of course I have far more goals than this for a whole year, but they are just some that I felt like sharing. What are some goals that you all have for the next year?
I am so blessed to live the life that I live, and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love waking up each and every day to the sun shining in the windows and knowing that every new day has its own adventures that await. Even the tiniest thing can make my day, and I hope it always stays that way. Although I miss my family and home, I try to take every opportunity that is presented to me. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff and miss out on all life has to offer. I can’t wait to see how my life will change in the next year, and I anticipate all of the things that life will present!
I want to see what y’all think of future posts, and see what your favorite kind of posts are, both from my blog or other’s blogs! Please leave as much feedback in the final question as you’d like! Follow this link (Tea N’ Sea Survey), responses are anonymous!
