The Gateway to the Smoky Mountains

This is a post that I’ve been meaning to post for a while now, but never actually got around to unfortunately. As of now, I am taking a break from studying and decided to write rather than take a nap. I’m sure most of you have heard of the devastating fires that affected Georgia, South and North Carolina, and Tennessee. Gatlinburg was one of the cities that was horribly affected, and is a city that I have been visiting for years now. It may be far different than some other news that you’ve been seeing; but I wanted to share the enjoyable parts of Gatlinburg to lighten the mood, and to show how beautiful the area was before the fires.  (more…)

Dear America,

Dear America Cover.png

***I in no way intend to offend anyone by this post, I am sharing my observations and opinions of those observations only.***

I woke up this morning after staying awake until 1:30 AM, anxious to see who our new President of the United States would be; but didn’t realize that looking at my phone this morning would be the most upsetting thing I would do all day. But it’s not for the reason that any of you are thinking.

Tips and Tricks: Moving!

moving-coverFirst of all, I would love to congratulate the winner of my 1 Year Giveaway! They have already been contacted. For the others that were not chosen from the jar, fret not. There will be other giveaways in the future!

This time of year tends to be extremely busy for everyone. Freshman are moving into dorms, people are moving into new apartments, houses, or even moving out of state! I just moved into my new apartment and I still feel like I’m not fully unpacked yet. With all of the commotion and craziness that comes with moving, I thought I’d share a few tips for your move to hopefully make it a little simpler. I’ve included two pictures of my new apartment as a little sneak peek!  (more…)

Happy Anniversary!

Today marks one year from the date that I started this blog. A lot has happened in the year of having Tea N’ Sea, and I couldn’t be more excited about what is to come, both in life and for the future of my blog! (more…)

Silver Lining

I don’t like to generalize, but everyone seems to have their own pre-determined plans for life. It seems like we all have this notion of what is supposed to happen and are stuck in our ways. I know that I am the same way. I like to plan things and be in control of a situation, and am never really sure what to do when life throws me a curveball.  (more…)

Snail Mail

Screen Shot 2016-05-18 at 11.52.30 PMIt doesn’t take much to make me happy. I try to be a fun-loving and light hearted individual as much as I can. I appreciate the little things in life and love to cherish the fleeting moments throughout the day. One of these little things that makes me so happy, is something that I don’t feel we do enough anymore. It’s nothing elaborate by any means, but its something that will brighten my day, no matter how I may be feeling at the time. (more…)

My Little Blessing

screen-shot-2016-12-05-at-8-20-43-pmAnyone that knows me, even a little bit better than acquaintances, will know that animals are my life. I love everything about them, am in studies aspiring to become a veterinarian, and jump at any chance to spend time with a furry friend. With that being said, never did I imagine taking on the responsibility of a pet until after my college years with the exception of a fish. Earlier in the semester, my whole life has taken a change, and I couldn’t be any happier.  (more…)

Seven Years of Good Luck

screen-shot-2016-12-05-at-8-22-17-pmI’m realizing slowly that I’m falling way behind on keeping up with writing [I’ve got adventures from before what I’m writing about now to cover still…oops]. Writing is one of the ways that I relax and unwind. I have had a few busy weeks, not to mention I’m stuck on island time. I escaped the foothills and went back to the sea for spring break. By far, this has been the best spring break that I’ve ever been on and I wish every second that I could go back. Keep on reading to get a glimpse into what we did for spring break!  (more…)

The Power of Words

screen-shot-2016-12-05-at-8-29-19-pmIn the midst of midterm exams, work, spring break anticipation, and so much more, one can’t help but get overwhelmed, stressed, discouraged, and antsy. This is precisely what I have been going through the past few weeks; throw in some drama and grey weather, it is definitely easy to find yourself in a slump. One way that I keep myself going throughout the day is through words. More specifically, quotes and lyrics that have significant meaning, or even quotes that are just enough to keep me moving along and motivated.  (more…)
