The Best Resort in Delray Beach, Florida

Delray Beach is a tropical beach town hidden along A1A. Unlike some other towns in South Florida, Delray Beach has very few buildings right on the beach, and is a stunning place to visit if you’re looking for a more low-key vacation than Miami Beach. Just on the other side of A1A, with uninterrupted ocean views, you will find the best beach resort in Delray, The Opal Grand. Keep reading to learn all about the Opal Grand Resort, and please let me know if you ever stay there!

Hi there! This post may contain affiliate links, which means I make a small commission off of purchases made through these links, at no cost to you! This allows me to continue providing you with the best travel guides, for free!

The Opal Grand Property

The Opal Grand Resort & Spa is full of beautiful amenities waiting to greet you for your Delray Beach vacation. The sophisticated lobby is full of beautiful details and tons of natural light. Located right across A1A from the beach, the design inside the resort exudes beachfront luxury. The staff will greet you upon arrival and offers both self or valet parking.

If you’re not a fan of the beach, the property offers two gorgeous pools, tons of activities including yoga, tennis, the cutest downtown, a beautiful spa, and so much more! There is no shortage of activities and amenities that the Opal Grand has to offer.

Dining at The Opal Grand

Whether you are looking for a quick breakfast, a fun happy hour, or a full sit down dinner, the Opal Grand has multiple dining options.

The Beach Market Cafe is perfect for a grab and go breakfast, from coffees, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, and even a great lunch menu for sandwiches and salads!

For poolside refreshments and snacks, check out the Cascades pool bar!

Monkey Bar is a jungle inspired cocktail bar offering a daily happy hour, craft cocktails, and (my favorite) an entire wall covered in beautiful greenery!

For the feature restaurant, Drift, the sailing inspired restaurant offers a higher end dining experience offering a fresh seafood menu. If you visit Drift and are curious what sailing is actually like click here, or learn to avoid seasickness here!

Event Venue

If you’re looking to host a wedding, event, or conference, the Opal Grand offers a beautiful event space capable of holding up to 1,000 guests. The Delray Resort can help you organize any sized event, and customize it to your liking. Guest room blocks are available for events as well, so be sure to reach out to the concierge to plan your event!

The Best Rooms & Suites in Delray Beach

The rooms at the Opal Grand Resort are some of the most beautiful rooms I have ever stayed in. The standard rooms are all newly renovated, and even if you don’t book the ocean view, there’s a chance you can still see it from your room’s balcony like I could! The room offers complementary waters, beautiful toiletries, and a variety of rooms to choose from.

In addition to the standard rooms, there are one and two bedroom suites available, as well as villas that offer a more luxurious or residential stay.

Whether you book a standard room, a suite, or a villa, be sure to explore the add on options that the resort offers, like their wine and charcuterie beach picnic, or romantic champagne gift basket!

The Best Beach in Delray

The beach across from the Opal Grand has a beautiful walkway and safe crosswalk to cross A1A. The resort offers beach towels that you can bring with, or you can opt to rent a chair from the third party that offers beach chairs and umbrellas. Once on the beach, you’ll enjoy white sands, beautiful blue water, pretty calm conditions, and smooth shells dotting the coastline. Be sure to pick up any plastic you may find and leave no trace when you visit to help protect our oceans!

Grenada is one of the hidden gems of the Caribbean Grenada is one of the hidden gems of the Caribbean, and is one that’s been hidden from the masses for years.A popular cruisers destination (not cruise ship, but sailors), Grenada is just enough off the beaten path and far enough from Florida that tourism isn’t as populated as some of the other Caribbean islands. But in my biased opinion, Grenada is the best Caribbean island to visit with:
💦 Waterfalls galore
🏝️ Stunning and world class beaches
🤿 More shipwrecks to dive than anywhere in the Caribbean
🐒 A tropical jungle to explore, compete with monkeys
🌅 Stunning sunsets all over the islandsAnd honestly so much more I can’t fit into one caption. If you want a full itinerary, send me a DM. Otherwise keep your eyes peeled on stories, I’ll be there in a month 😍#grenada #caribbean #puregrenada #visitgrenada #tropicaltravel
Nothing could’ve prepared me for how beautiful t Nothing could’ve prepared me for how beautiful the Polynesian culture is. 🌺Take everything you think you know about Polynesian culture, and throw it out the window. Hawaii, Moana, Lilo and Stitch, Pinterest - nothing does it justice. The absolute purity and kindness these people excude is beyond belief. The respect they share for the earth, the ocean, anyone that walks their path, it brings tears to my eyes.I was so honored to be a part of learning a little bit of the culture. I spent nearly two weeks in Polynesia, immersed in the land, but the most pivotal moments for me were being immersed with the people. Seeing what beauty, respect, and strong culture they hold. It’s honestly so different than other islands I’ve visited. If you get the chance to truly experience culture when you travel, indulge in it. Try the food, learn the dances, talk to the people. It’ll truly change your life.#frenchpolynesia #moorea #culturaltravel #ecoteavel #islanddestinations #tropicaltravel #islandtravel #saltyluxe #mooreaisland #polynesianculture #polynesiandance #sustainabletravel #travelreel
Three things you need to bring with you when you g Three things you need to bring with you when you go on a daysail, especially in French Polynesia ⬇️🌞 Reef safe sunscreen - the coral reefs are very threatened, and many conventional sunscreens contain chemicals that inhibit coral reproduction or even cause coral bleaching. You definitely need sun protection though!📸 A waterproof camera - it can be your phone in a waterproof case, a GoPro, or a whole professional setup. Whatever you have you’ll want to capture those special moments sailing, but want to make sure your electronics are protected if you get splashed.⛵️ A light cover up or sarong - when you’re out in the elements, and o sometimes get chilly. Do you prefer sunrises or sunsets? 🌅Personall Do you prefer sunrises or sunsets? 🌅Personally, I’m a sunset gal. I love a good sunrise but I am so not a morning person (even if I want to be). My internal clock just wants to be a night owl. Plus there’s something so special about how a sunset just gets better and better as it goes on. This sunset was unreal as we watched the waves break over the reef in the distance, and enjoyed the perfectly calm lagoon inside the reef with so many fish and eagle rays swimming by!📸 @saltyluxe @chesh.creative#moorea #mooreaisland #frenchpolynesia #frenchpolynesianislands #travelsunset #tropicalsunset #tropicaltravel #saltyluxe #saltyluxepresets #theinfluencerbootcamp #bucketlistadventures #bucketlisttravel #femaletraveler #femaletravelblogger
THIS IS YOUR REMINDER THAT SOCIAL MEDIA ISN’T AL THIS IS YOUR REMINDER THAT SOCIAL MEDIA ISN’T ALL WHAT IT SEEMS 🌊I love sharing on Instagram, I really do, but it’s easy to forget as a consumer of content that social media is a highlight reel. While it may look like I’m in an exotic destination every day, chances are I’m likely at home or working my tail off at one of my many jobs. But I choose to romanticize every part of my life, and I love sharing my free time with friends, dancing, at yoga, visiting farmer’s markets, watching the sunset. Even though it’s not “exotic” or traveling, I am creating peace within myself and enjoying the company of others. I prioritize free time when I can and try to make it something special, and I try to say “yes” as much as possible. So don’t feel bad if you’re not traveling year round. Don’t feel bad if you can’t take luxury trips or live the digital nomad life. Try to remember to romanticize every little moment, so you can find peace within and happiness even in the mundane. How do you spend your free time? ❤️#travelreality #reeltraveller #travelblog #floridalivin #floridalife #floridavibes #travelvibe #oceanvibe #staugustinebeach
