Kinda chic to jump off the Willy T in the BVI 🏴‍☠️ Kinda chic to jump off the Willy T in the BVI 🏴‍☠️

One of the most iconic stops in the British Virgin Islands is the infamous Willy T Floating Bar. Located just off Norman Island, this floating bar dates back to the 1930s when she was an original wooden schooner anchored in the bay as a floating bar.

In 1996 the wooden ship sank and was replaced by the first steel ship, which also became a dive site after the 2017 hurricanes that devastated the islands. Now on the third ship, the Willy T has remained an iconic bar and restaurant spot in the BVI.

Have you been to the Willy T? Would you jump off?

Come explore Mermaid’s Chair on St. Thomas 🧜‍♀️🌴 Come explore Mermaid’s Chair on St. Thomas 🧜‍♀️🌴

After a long downhill walk, you’ll arrive at Mermaid’s Chair, where the Caribbean and Atlantic meet! The rugged shoreline is great for exploring and the hike back up is quite the workout. Try to catch the complimentary shuttle if you time it right.

After leaving Mermaid’s chair we headed over to grab a slushie in honor of 7/11’s slurpee day before going to Magen’s Bay with friends and ending the night relaxing in the hammock!

Have you ever been to Mermaid’s Chair?

Did you know there’s always a Carnival happening s Did you know there’s always a Carnival happening somewhere in the Caribbean?! 🥁🌺🎭

Well, not exactly, but many of the carnival celebrations around the Caribbean are intentionally spread out to avoid celebrations happening in different places at the same time.

Many carnival goers enjoy traveling to different islands to experience carnival in different ways.

This week is St. John’s carnival, while my friends and I were a part of the parade on St. Thomas at the beginning of May!

Have you ever been to Carnival? Either in the Caribbean or elsewhere around the world? 🌺

Happy World Sea Turtle Day! 🌊🐢 Did you know that Happy World Sea Turtle Day! 🌊🐢

Did you know that all 7 species of sea turtle have been endangered for decades? With the exception of green sea turtles, 6 species are STILL on the endangered species list. While it’s great news that Green sea turtles are now of “least concern” that doesn’t mean there is no concern!

Sea turtles are an amazing keystone species that can help you tell how healthy the ocean is, with that being said, how healthy do you think our oceans are today?

So here’s to enjoying sea turtles today, but also remembering that our actions affect them every day, and that we can make a difference, not only for turtles, but for the ocean all together too!
